Quick Read

  • Day 29 (Oct 30): ₹1 crore net in India, across 2,987 shows, per Sacnilk — up 11.1% from Day 28’s ₹90 lakh.
  • Totals after Day 29: India net ₹374 crore, India gross ₹447.92 crore, overseas ₹132.30 crore, worldwide ₹580.22 crore.
  • The film needs ₹19.78 crore more worldwide gross to reach ₹600 crore — our own calculation.

Ajay Devgn’s Hindi thriller, directed by Abhishek Pathak, is now in its fifth week in theatres. A fifth-week Friday rise is rare. Most films fall on a weekday Friday in week five. This one went up.

Day 28 gave ₹90 lakh net. Day 29 gave ₹1 crore. That’s an 11.1% rise, per Sacnilk. The film played 2,987 shows on Friday. It also earned ₹25 lakh overseas on the day, taking its overseas gross to ₹132.30 crore.

Day 29 in numbers

India gross after Day 29 is ₹447.92 crore, per Sacnilk. Add overseas gross of ₹132.30 crore, and you get the worldwide gross of ₹580.22 crore. The maths is simple, and it checks out: 447.92 + 132.30 = 580.22.

This post covers the Hindi version only. That’s an important point. Mohanlal’s Malayalam Drishyam 3 is a separate film with its own numbers. By Day 29, the Malayalam version had grossed ₹239.83 crore worldwide, per The Times of India. On Day 29 itself, it earned just ₹6 lakh net in India. Mixing the two versions together would give a wrong total, so we keep them apart.

One small source difference: BoxOfficeIndia24 puts Day 29 at ₹0.97 crore net, not ₹1 crore, with a total India net of ₹374.03 crore. Its worldwide gross is higher, at ₹584.16 crore, with overseas at ₹142.81 crore. The Day 29 India figure is close either way — ₹0.97 crore vs ₹1 crore is a rounding-level gap. The worldwide gap is bigger, and it comes from overseas counting. We use Sacnilk as the main source here, and we state the BoxOfficeIndia24 figures so readers can see both.

Our own check: the week-by-week fall

Here’s a desk-compiled week table from Sacnilk figures reported by The Times of India and ScreenStat. Week 1 gave ₹245.50 crore net. Week 2 gave ₹87.50 crore. Week 3 gave ₹28.85 crore. Week 4 gave ₹11.15 crore. Week 5 so far, Day 29 alone, gave ₹1 crore.

Week 1 alone is 65.6% of the ₹374 crore total, by our calculation. That’s normal for a big opener. The film opened with ₹62 crore net on Day 1, then ₹53.50 crore on Day 2 and ₹61 crore on Day 3. Week 2 kept 35.6% of Week 1, Week 3 kept about 33% of Week 2, and Week 4 kept about 38.7% of Week 3, per ScreenStat’s week comparison.

What’s striking is how steady the late run has been. Week 4’s daily figures were ₹1.40 crore, ₹2.65 crore, ₹3 crore, ₹1.05 crore, ₹1.25 crore, ₹90 lakh, ₹90 lakh and ₹90 lakh across Days 22–28. Day 29’s ₹1 crore sits right in that same band. The film is not collapsing. It’s coasting at about ₹1 crore a day in week five.

How close is ₹600 crore?

The film needs ₹19.78 crore more worldwide gross to hit ₹600 crore, by our calculation (600 − 580.22). At about ₹1 crore India net plus ₹25 lakh overseas a day, that mark won’t fall this weekend. It would take many more days at this pace, and shows will keep falling.

But the ₹600 crore chase is not the only story. The film has already crossed ₹580 crore worldwide, and it’s the clear Hindi winner of its run. Its fifth-week total so far is just Day 29’s ₹1 crore, but the fact that a fifth Friday went up, not down, tells you word of mouth is still doing some work.

What happens next

Day 30 and Day 31 fall on the fifth weekend. If the weekend pattern from Week 4 repeats — Saturday and Sunday higher than Friday — the film could add roughly ₹2–3 crore more in India net over the weekend. That’s our reading of the recent pattern, not a forecast from a tracker. No tracker has published Day 30 figures yet, and we have not guessed them.

The next update to watch is the Day 30 number, due after Saturday closes. If it holds near or above ₹1 crore, the ₹600 crore dream stays alive a little longer. If it drops hard, the film will likely settle just short of ₹600 crore worldwide. We’ll report the Day 30 figure when Sacnilk publishes it.
