Rain could not stop the night
Delhi had heavy rain on October 30. Fans still reached the stadium in large numbers. The Indian Express reported that around 70,000 people were expected at the sold-out show.
Umbrellas were not allowed inside the venue. WION reported that the ban was for security and clear views. Ponchos and rain jackets were allowed, so many fans came ready for wet weather.
Delhi Metro ran services till midnight to help fans get home. The Indian Express said Diljit had asked fans to use the Metro, as there was no general parking at the venue. Traffic curbs were in place around the stadium from 1 pm till midnight, The Tribune reported.
After the show, Diljit spoke about the rain. Times Now quoted him as hoping God would hold back the rain for 3 to 4 hours. He also said some people had tried hard to stop the show from happening. His words were: “Some people really tried hard to make sure the show wouldn’t happen!”
What he sang
News agency ANI reported that Diljit opened with ‘Morni’. The set then moved through his big hits. The ANI list names ‘G.O.A.T.’, ‘Ikk Kudi’, ‘Lalkara’, ‘Ishq Di Baajiyaan’, ‘Naina’, ‘Kinni Kinni’, ‘Case’, ‘Panjtaara’, ‘Hass Hass’ and ‘Water’.
The most-awaited moment was ‘Saanson Ki Mala’. ANI said the crowd gave it a warm, loud response. The Indian Express had reported before the show that Diljit himself had confirmed this song would be part of the night.
A drone show closed the evening. The Tribune reported that lit-up drones formed messages in the sky, including “Panjabi Aa Gaye Oye” and “I am Artist Bro”. The Tribune also reported that Diljit ended with “Main Hoon Punjab” from his film “Amar Singh Chamkila”.
One detail is not settled. The Tribune’s report names “Kehnde Soniye” as the opening song, while ANI names ‘Morni’. Both reports agree on the main hits and the closing drone show. The full song order, start to finish, has not been published in one official list so far.

How the show almost did not happen
The Delhi date was first set for November 1. The Tribune reported that it was moved to October 30 after Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney asked Diljit not to hold the show on the anniversary of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Then came a permission row. Times Now reported that Delhi Police first denied permission, citing threat-related inputs and security and law-and-order work during the festive season. BookMyShow Live, the organiser, then held talks with the police and shared extra plans for safety, traffic and crowd control. Permission was reconsidered and given, and the show went ahead as planned.
Diljit thanked the people who ran the night. ANI reported that he thanked Delhi Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for their work in keeping the concert smooth.
