Quick Read

  • Day 15 (Oct 30): ₹20 lakh net in India, across 512 shows, per Sacnilk — down 78.9% from Day 14’s ₹95 lakh.
  • Totals after Day 15: India net ₹57.50 crore, India gross ₹66.78 crore, overseas ₹12.35 crore, worldwide ₹79.13 crore.
  • The film trails Vijay Deverakonda’s earlier film Kingdom by ₹2.29 crore worldwide — our own calculation (₹81.42 − ₹79.13 crore).

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s period action drama, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, released on October 16, 2026. It’s a fictional fight against British rule, set during the Great Famine of 1876–78. After two full weeks, the run has slowed to a crawl.

Friday’s ₹20 lakh came from 512 shows, with about 9.90% overall occupancy for the Telugu 2D version, per The Times of India citing Sacnilk. An estimated 18,453 tickets were sold on the day. The total ticket count for the run is now about 46,98,077, per Sacnilk.

A sharp Friday fall

Day 14 gave ₹95 lakh net. Day 15 gave ₹20 lakh. That’s a 78.9% drop in one day, per Sacnilk. That’s a very steep fall, even for a third-week Friday.

Part of the story is show count. Day 14 ran on 1,449 shows, per The Times of India’s Day 14 report. Day 15 ran on just 512 shows. Fewer screens mean fewer tickets, and the occupancy was under 10%. The film is losing screens fast now, and that makes a recovery very hard.

The best day is still Day 1, at ₹9.25 crore net. Day 15’s ₹20 lakh is just 2.2% of that opening day, by our calculation. That’s how far the daily run has fallen in two weeks.

Our own check: where the total came from

Here’s a desk-compiled split of the ₹57.50 crore India net total, using Sacnilk’s week figures. Week 1 (Days 1–7) gave ₹45.20 crore. That’s 78.6% of the total so far — our own calculation. Week 2 (Days 8–14) gave ₹12.10 crore, or 21.0%. Week 3 so far, Day 15 alone, gave ₹20 lakh, or about 0.35%.

In plain words: almost four-fifths of all the money came in the first week. Week 2 fell by more than 70% from Week 1. Week 3 has started with a near-empty day. That’s the shape of a film that opened on buzz and then lost its audience.

Worldwide, the split is India gross ₹66.78 crore plus overseas ₹12.35 crore = ₹79.13 crore. Overseas is 15.7% of the worldwide gross, per Sacnilk’s own summary. One small note: Sacnilk’s day-wise page rounds India gross to ₹66.55 crore, while its Day 15 page gives ₹66.78 crore. We use ₹66.78 crore here, from the Day 15 page, and flag the ₹0.23 crore rounding gap.

The Kingdom comparison

Kingdom, Vijay Deverakonda’s previous film, has reached ₹81.42 crore worldwide, per NewsBytes. Ranabaali is at ₹79.13 crore. The gap is ₹2.29 crore, by our calculation. So Ranabaali now trails Kingdom worldwide, even though it earned more on its own Day 15 — ₹20 lakh against Kingdom’s ₹3 lakh on its Day 15, per The Times of India.

That last point cuts both ways. Ranabaali’s Day 15 was stronger than Kingdom’s Day 15. But its total is still lower, because its first two weeks were weaker. Kingdom held up better over its full run. Ranabaali would need more than ₹2.29 crore more worldwide gross just to catch Kingdom, and at ₹20 lakh a day in India, that will take a long time — if it happens at all.

Budget context — reported estimates only

No maker has officially confirmed Ranabaali’s budget. Media reports put it at about ₹120 crore, with some reports giving a range of ₹120–150 crore. The Times of India and NDTV both cite a Samayam Telugu report for the ₹120–150 crore range. Treat every budget figure here as a reported estimate, not an official number.

Against that range, our own gap calculation is stark. Worldwide gross of ₹79.13 crore sits ₹40.87 crore short of the low end (₹120 crore) and ₹70.87 crore short of the high end (₹150 crore). That’s on gross, not net — and gross is always higher than what comes back to the makers. So the theatrical gross alone does not cover the reported budget.

There is one cushion. The same reports say the film recovered an estimated ₹42–60 crore before release, from digital, satellite and other non-theatrical rights. That money is separate from box office gross. The final profit or loss will depend on the full revenue and cost picture, which the makers have not shared. We are not calling the film a flop or a hit on box office gross alone — the reported budget gap is the fact, and the non-theatrical recovery is the missing piece.

What happens next

Day 16 advance booking gives an early hint. Sacnilk reports 25,455 tickets worth ₹37.33 lakh sold in advance for Day 16 by 6:00 AM IST on October 31. That’s advance sales with block seats, so it’s not a final Day 16 figure. But it suggests Day 16 may open a little better than Day 15’s weak walk-in day.

The real question is screens. With just 512 shows on Day 15, the film needs to hold its screen count to have any chance of catching Kingdom’s ₹81.42 crore. If shows keep falling, the run will fade out in the next few days. We’ll report the Day 16 figure when Sacnilk publishes it.
