The reason is simple: Tuesday was Dussehra, a public holiday, and families went to the movies. Six days in, Nelson Dilipkumar’s action entertainer has collected ₹287.80 crore net in India, with a worldwide gross of ₹541 crore.
Day by day: the first week so far
The film’s India net run looks, per Sacnilk’s day-wise table carried by TOI:

- Day 2 (Fri): ₹37.10 cr
- Day 3 (Sat): ₹47.25 cr

The pattern is familiar for a big holiday release. A huge opening. A weekday dip. A weekend surge. Another dip on the first working Monday. Then a festival-day bounce. Tuesday pulled 30,22,714 footfalls across 15,529 shows, and the film’s cumulative footfalls have touched nearly 1.9 crore (18,928,552, per Sacnilk).

Tamil Nadu led, but every version moved
The Tamil version remains the engine. It contributed ₹31.20 crore of Tuesday’s net from 7,828 shows. Telugu added ₹8.75 crore (2,293 shows), Hindi ₹5 crore (5,230 shows), and Kannada ₹0.60 crore (178 shows).
The state-wise gross tells the same story. Tamil Nadu put up ₹21.50 crore. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together gave ₹10 crore. Karnataka added ₹8.25 crore, Kerala ₹7.50 crore, and the rest of India ₹6 crore. Occupancy ran hot in the south: Tamil shows at 70%, Telugu at 59.3%, Kannada at 52%. The Hindi version lagged at 26% — this is a Tamil-first event, and the numbers show it plainly.

Why you may see ₹44.78 crore instead
Box-office trackers don’t always agree, and today is one of those days. BoxOfficeIndia24 puts Day 6 at ₹44.78 crore net — a 5.2% rise — with its India total at ₹282.86 crore and worldwide at ₹532.34 crore. Every one of those is a shade below Sacnilk’s figures.
Neither tracker is the film’s producer. Both compile estimates from show-level data, and small gaps between them are normal. What the next two days will decide
The Dussehra bounce is real. Wednesday and Thursday will tell us how much of it was the holiday and how much is staying power. A clean weekday hold above ₹40 crore would put the film on course for a ₹320+ crore India net first week. Big by any measure.
