Quick Read
- Jailer 2 earned ₹47.80 crore in India net collections on Day 3 (Saturday, October 17) — a 28.8% jump over Day 2’s ₹37.10 crore, per Sacnilk figures reported by TOI.
- The film’s three-day India net total now stands at ₹144.60 crore, past the ₹100 crore mark, while worldwide gross hit ₹317.15 crore.
- Tamil Nadu carried the film again: the Tamil version made ₹34.60 crore on Saturday, with Tamil 2D night shows touching 90.08% occupancy.
Saturday bounced back after the Friday dip
The film opened huge on Thursday (October 15) with ₹59.70 crore. Friday cooled to ₹37.10 crore, and that dip worried fans. Saturday put those worries to rest.
Jailer 2 played 14,604 shows across India on Day 3. Overall occupancy rose from 48.2% on Friday to 53.9% on Saturday. Evening and night shows filled up fast — Tamil 2D night shows touched 90.08% occupancy. That’s nearly full houses.
Day 3 also brought 3,121,280 footfalls. Total footfalls now stand at 9,361,338. That’s over 93 lakh tickets sold in three days.
Tamil Nadu did the heavy lifting again
The Tamil version remains the film’s backbone. On Saturday it earned ₹34.60 crore from 7,802 shows, with 69.1% occupancy. Morning shows started at 54.08%. By evening, occupancy hit 78.69%. Night shows peaked at 90.08%.
The Telugu version added ₹8.50 crore across 2,100 shows at 58.4% occupancy. Hindi screenings brought ₹4.25 crore from 4,554 shows, but occupancy there stayed soft at 26%. The Kannada version chipped in ₹0.45 crore from 148 shows at 49% occupancy.
All four versions together made ₹47.80 crore on the day. The pattern is clear — Tamil Nadu is driving this bus, with Telugu as a strong second.

₹317.15 crore worldwide in 3 days
The overseas run is just as strong. International markets added ₹47.50 crore on Saturday alone. Total overseas gross now sits at ₹147.50 crore. Domestic gross reached ₹169.65 crore. Add them up and you get ₹317.15 crore worldwide in three days.
That’s a huge number for a three-day run. The film crossed ₹100 crore India net during Day 3, and it’s now racing toward ₹150 crore.
Jailer 2 has also beaten Vijay’s Jana Nayagan at home. Jana Nayagan made ₹92.75 crore in its first three days. Jailer 2 crossed that mark during Saturday itself, with live figures touching ₹106.79 crore before the day ended.
One tracker sees it slightly lower
Not every tracker agrees on the exact total. Sacnilk’s figures (reported by TOI) put the three-day India net at ₹144.60 crore. Alternate tracker BoxOfficeIndia24 reports ₹138.74 crore for the same period, with a worldwide gross of ₹306.23 crore instead of ₹317.15 crore.
The gap comes from different counting methods. Sacnilk’s day-wise numbers run Day 1 ₹59.70 crore, Day 2 ₹37.10 crore, Day 3 ₹47.80 crore. BoxOfficeIndia24 has them at ₹55.76 crore, ₹35.28 crore, and ₹47.70 crore. Both agree on the trend — a strong Saturday jump. We use Sacnilk as the primary source and flag the difference so you see both.
What Sunday will decide
Sunday is the big test. Early live estimates on Sunday morning put Day 4 collections around ₹10.02 crore gross as of 9 AM — provisional numbers that will climb through the day. Monday’s advance booking already looks strong: over ₹13.41 crore worth of tickets (7.14 lakh tickets) were booked before Sunday even began.
If Sunday holds Saturday’s pace, the opening weekend could close near ₹200 crore India net. The Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film stars Rajinikanth alongside Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, and Vidya Balan, with music by Anirudh Ravichander.
