Drishyam 3 Box Office Day 10: Rs 22.5 Cr, 300 Cr Crossed

Drishyam 3’s day 10 box office collection took it past Rs 300 crore in India. On Sunday (October 11), the Ajay Devgn thriller collected about Rs 22.5 crore net, according to early estimates from trade tracker Sacnilk. The Times of India reported Rs 23 crore. The film’s India net total now stands at roughly Rs 309 crore. It is Ajay Devgn’s first film to cross Rs 300 crore in India — and his biggest hit ever.

Day 10 numbers, in one glance

Here are the Sunday numbers, all from early estimates that may be revised slightly on Monday:

  • Day 10 India net: ~Rs 22.5 crore (Sacnilk early estimate; Times of India and Hindustan Times reported Rs 23 crore)
  • Total India net after 10 days: Rs 309 crore (Sacnilk) to Rs 309.5 crore (Times of India)
  • Total India gross: Rs 370.80 crore
  • Overseas on day 10: Rs 6 crore; total overseas: Rs 109 crore
  • Worldwide gross: Rs 479.80 crore (Sacnilk) to Rs 480.40 crore (Times of India)
  • Shows across India: 14,872; footfalls on Sunday: over 9.3 lakh

Two quick words, explained simply. Net is the money the film keeps after taxes. Gross is the total ticket money before taxes. Reporters and trackers use net for records, so that is the number we follow.

The full 10-day journey

Sunday’s number makes more sense when you see the whole run. Here is the day-by-day India net, as reported by NDTV Profit and Sacnilk:

  • Day 1 (Fri, Oct 2): Rs 62 crore
  • Day 2 (Sat): Rs 53.50 crore
  • Day 3 (Sun): Rs 61 crore
  • Day 4 (Mon): Rs 21 crore
  • Day 5 (Tue): Rs 19.50 crore
  • Day 6 (Wed): Rs 15.50 crore
  • Day 7 (Thu): Rs 13 crore — week 1 total: Rs 245.50 crore
  • Day 8 (Fri): Rs 14.50 crore
  • Day 9 (Sat): Rs 26.50 crore
  • Day 10 (Sun): ~Rs 22.5 crore (early estimate)

The pattern is textbook for a word-of-mouth hit: a huge opening weekend of Rs 176.50 crore, a normal weekday fall, then a second weekend that refused to die. Days 8, 9 and 10 together made about Rs 63.5 crore net — a strong second weekend by any measure.

Inside Sunday’s numbers, evening shows did the heavy lifting. NDTV Profit’s show-wise split (Hindi 2D) shows morning at 16.92 per cent, afternoon rising to 37.92 per cent, and evening peaking at 44.08 per cent, before night shows settled at 24.92 per cent. Families came after lunch. That is the classic family-thriller pattern.

One more way to feel the scale: Sacnilk counted over 9.3 lakh footfalls on Sunday alone, and about 1.27 crore tickets sold in 10 days. That is more people than the population of most Indian cities.

A Sunday dip — and that is normal

Sunday fell about 13 to 15 per cent from Saturday’s Rs 26.50 crore. Do not read too much into the drop. Sunday evening shows almost always slow down as the weekend ends. Theatre occupancy on Sunday was around 26 per cent, a little lower than Saturday’s figure near 29 per cent.

For context: the second Saturday had jumped nearly 80 per cent over Friday, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, as quoted by NDTV. That surge is what pushed the film to the 300-crore line on Sunday.

The 300-crore record

Drishyam 3 is now the fourth Hindi film of 2026 to enter the Rs 300 crore club, after Dhurandhar 2, Border 2 and Hanuman Ansh, Taran Adarsh noted. It is also the first film of Ajay Devgn’s career to cross that mark.

The film has beaten Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which had an India net lifetime total of Rs 279.59 crore. It had already crossed Drishyam 2’s full lifetime India net of Rs 239.67 crore back on day 9. Worldwide, the film’s ~Rs 480 crore is also Ajay Devgn’s highest global total ever, per the Times of India.

One detail most day-10 reports did not break down: BoxOfficeIndia24’s live data showed Maharashtra leading the country with Rs 10.24 crore gross on the day, Mumbai as the top city at Rs 5.06 crore, and PVR as the biggest national chain at Rs 5.98 crore. The film is pulling hardest where the franchise has always been strongest.

What comes next

Drishyam 3 has a clear week ahead. No major Hindi film releases in the coming days, so the film keeps most of its screens. That means Monday’s number matters a lot — it will show how strong the film’s real hold is.

The next real test arrives on October 16, when Rajkummar Rao’s Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam and Yami Gautam’s Nayyi Navelli hit theatres. Drishyam 3 gets one full week of clear running first.
